SEEKERS OF THE BAT

Here’s a great inter-publisher crossover pic by the late Michael Turner. If as some say, Gotham is ‘New York by night’, (Metropolis being New York by day), it would make sense that these two street level, line swinging, misunderstood heroes would eventually meet (and invariably have some sort of wacky turf misunderstanding).

In this pinup by Adam Kubert, we see Batman swinging through the city on his trusty bat line. As a non-flying hero, he needs some way to keep up.  Only Spider-man and Tarzan are known more for swinging on some sort of rope.  Neither of them uses a retractable Bat-grapple and synthetic bungee line, however.
